Filament Theatre
Filament Theatre is a flexible performance space located in the heart of the Historic Six Corners Shopping District.

Filament is positioned on the first floor of the Portage Arts Lofts building. The building also features The National Veterans Art Museum, The Chicago Ballet Center, and the Six Corners Association.
Filament is easily accessible via the Irving Park exit on 90/94. Turn west on Irving Park Ave and at the six corners turn slightly right onto Milwaukee Ave. Filament will be on your right across from the Portage Theatre.
Public transit: Take the Blue Line to Irving Park and transfer to the Irving Park Bus (#80) headed west. Get off at Cicero & Milwaukee.

A Divvy station is located across the street from Filament on West Cuyler Ave.
Directions
Street parking is available in front of the theater. Meters are active from 8am-10pm Monday-Saturday with a 3 hour maximum at $2/hr.
Additional parking is available at the Laporte Ave. Public Parking Lot located 1 block west of the theater via West Cuyler Ave.

Filament Theatre is located on the first floor and provides space for patrons in wheelchairs to remain in their wheelchair while viewing the performance.
Filament has two all gender / family restrooms. There are additional restrooms available on the second floor.

Community Tavern
For an upscale (yet family-friendly) dinner, check out Community Tavern. Reservations are recommended here. On Tuesdays through Thursdays, as well as Sundays, kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée. Little ones might enjoy the grilled cheese on brioche with skinny fries. Their grown-up dates shouldn’t miss the great wine list, coconut-lemongrass soup, and assortment of dumpling and noodle dishes.

Perkolator
Hand-crafted coffee and tea drinks, pastries, sandwiches and housemade soups can be found at this bright-and-cozy neighborhood coffeeshop. Try some fun food or drink specials off the seasonal menu. Perkolator roasts some of its coffee beans onsite. The café is open until 3 p.m.

Tatas Tacos
Looking for lunch or dinner for the whole family? It’s always time for tacos. Whether it’s a quesadilla, taco or burrito, Tatas has you covered. The restaurant offers a long list of classic tacos such as al pastor. But adventurous diners might try one of the more creative options like the Jibarito with ribeye steak on a housemade plantain tortilla or the Kraken with grilled octopus and sauteed cactus. The menu also has lots of vegetarian and vegan choices.

Gracie O’Malley’s Six Corners
This festive Irish pub, which has two other Chicago locations, is a sports bar with plentiful TVs. Share a plate of mini corn dogs or cheese curds before diving into a burger, chicken sandwich or sliders.

The whole family will love Junebug Café’s fresh, powder sugar-dusted beignets. Or, for something savory, try a flaky meat pie or a comforting bowl of gumbo at this New Orleans-inspired café. The café, which is open until 4 p.m., also serves locally roasted Dark Matter coffee.

This neighborhood coffee shop is known for its elaborate coffee creations and decadent pastries. Find a comfy seat indoors by the fireplace or outside (when the weather cooperates) and sip a bright green matcha latte while nibbling a croissant or kolache.
