When the Chicago theater world wasnโ€™t ready for us, Teatro Vista Productions made space. For 35 years, weโ€™ve told stories that reflected our community.

Now, weโ€™re not just building on our legacy; weโ€™re redefining it. Stronger togetherโ€”across disciplines, across experiences, across mediums, across diasporas. We've placed artists at the heart of everything we do, the light of our legacy. Welcome to the new Teatro Vista. Pa'lante Juntos.

Power and panic. Strength and collapse. Fear and violence. Teatro Vista Productions presents a kaleidoscope of characters delving into the mire of modern masculinity told by one of Chicagoโ€™s premier performers. God Complex is a new work in development as part of our In Process series.

DONATE $35 to celebrate

35 years of tvp!

Dear TVP familia,

As we are preparing to celebrate 35 years of Teatro Vista Productions, we want to take a moment to thank you for making this past year unforgettable. The 24/25 season was a time of discovery and experimentation. A time of throwing paint against the wall and seeing what sticks (figuratively AND literally). And most importantly, a time of growth. With your support we launched a series of new works and TVP traditions. Thank you for giving us permission to create in draft at our first annual In-Process Live, for diving into the process with us at Ofrenda Weekend with Luis Alfaro, and for exploring the wonders of Salvadorโ€™s workshop in our Jeff-Nominated production of Jean Claudioโ€™s Memorabilia. We are so grateful for the community involvement and care we witnessed this past year, and we hope to continue fostering creative spaces for artists and art lovers to share ideas, experiences, and stories.

And now, whatโ€™s next๐Ÿ˜‰...TVP will continue to support the development of new work, both in progress and in production. We will bring you first looks and a gripping world premiere to kick off our collaboration with Steppenwolf Theatre Company. We will keep peeling back the curtain and demystifying the process and industry to the best of our ability to help up and coming artists unlock their potential. And weโ€™ll do it all through a variety of artistic mediums including but not limited to plays, podcasts, panels, social media content, special events, workshops, and classes.

Weโ€™re officially in our โœจabundance eraโœจ, and we are so thrilled to have you be a part of it.

Pa'lante juntos,
Lorena and Wendy
